Well not all of them it appears
//Two female workers and 12 men, from Romania and Lithuania, requested assistance and were taken to a safe place for further care in Manaccan, Cornwall.//
So no the police were not over reacting!!

All seems very odd.

I would like to know where this came from firstly:

'Over the last couple of weeks we had information that made us concerned about the people working on this site and the conditions they were living and working in.'

They are not English speakers Isla, so do they know what they are asking for?

It is odd so many are happy. I suspect there is more to this than this article is telling us.
Would be helpful to view the living conditions, salary overheads the workers paid ?
Best to let the investigation continue before I make guesses - glad those who requested assistance are being helped.
Some of them speak English.
You don't have to be an English speaker to seek assistance!
Help is easy to say no matter what your language is!
Big news, 2 women and 12 men seek asylum after entering Britain illegally. They will swear on oath that "we did not know that it was not allowed and are afraid to go back because we will be harmed".
Has more information been released then?
I think only certain people are hearing it though, Mamy.
Ah.
