This disgraceful business is still rolling on it would seem. Warboys should not be released. There are hundreds of women at risk if he is let out.

Warboys is a loathsome creature but he was committed on a number of crimes, he has served his time for that he was committed of.
Should he have stood trial for more? Yes he should have done, but he didn't so we can't keep a man in prison for what should have been done.
They need to build a case on the other rapes and then have another trial and put this loathsome creature back in jail legally.
But that of course is just my opinion.
He served his term for the one rape he was prosecuted for.
There are nearly 100 alleged offences on file.
The CPS say the want the police to put farward cases and they cannot act alone.
But the police appear to be uninterested and no cases are pending.

I wonder if the police properly investigated the crimes that came to light after the publicity of his imprisonment. The lack of any cases pending would suggest they didn’t.
Question Author
Islay....he was sentenced to a minimum of 8 years, not a maximum of 8 years. The Parole Board have not been specific in its reasons for letting him out.

This case is extremely complicated. The Police hardly covered themselves in glory with the original investigations.

Given that there are these huge questions and doubts hanging over him, I can see no reason why he should be released.

His victims must be terrified.
Question Author
Gromit....the facts of this case are truly disgraceful ::::

Thank you for suggesting the case is complicated - I truly never understood that!
Question Author
That's fine Islay !
My understanding of the case (and forgive me as a mere female if I simplify this)
He was sentenced he served the minimum time without any issues he met parole conditions. He is possibly going to be let out.
Anything I missed?
Question Author
Islay....unless someone steps in and stops it, there is nothing "possible" about his release.

The Parole Board have still to give the full reasons for their decision to release him on licence.
its what i said the other day on my thread, on that they said there would be no review of his case.
I hope they do and throw the book at his creature. He doesn't deserve to come out at all.
Question Author
Emmie....agreed.
his original sentence as i understand it was indefinite. so how come he only does 8 years.
emmie - he was tried and has served the sentence required for the crime he was tried for.
Despite what we may think - the law has been followed.
100 rapes/assaults ought to have garnered a life term,
something is not right with this case.
Question Author
Emmie....if you look at the facts, there is nothing that makes much sense in this case. If Plod had investigated the case properly in the first place, Warboys would have sentenced appropriately.
all i know is his release will see him back on the streets, not a good day for the police
Was his trial based on a 100 rapes? Or just the 1’s they had solid evidence?
Question Author
Islay.... please read the wiki link I posted....all the answers you require are there.
I prefer to read the court papers as wiki is not a definitive source.
The taxi driver was jailed in 2009 for a minimum of eight years for drugging and sexually assaulting 12 women
