With three leading pro-Brexit ministers being knighted in the New Year's Honours list (Graham Brady, Christopher Chope and Geoffrey Clifton-Brown), does Nigel Farage's conspiracy theory regarding his lack of ennoblement still hold water?

Farage has been ‘overlooked’ because underneath the smart suited, middle class, beer supping exterior, he’s a right wing fanatic and right wing fanatics don’t get honours. What’s more, he knows this and has invented a conspiracy theory as a smoke screen.
It never held water in the first place. I can only repeat: what would Farage expect a knighthood for?
In fact I’d echo what Zacs said: he’s not stupid, he does damn well he isn’t going to get an honour, just as he knew fine well there was more chance of Frankie Boyle being appointed UK ambassador to Washington. It’s just mischief making to promote his dubious image as the cheeky Svengali leading ‘the people’ against the Faceless Ones
why would he get one? He's split the Tory party.
David Cameron, Gordon Brown and Tony Blair haven't got one either.
But of those three only DC did the honourable thing and called the referendum.
They may well have been offered them but turned them down.
I thought it was David Cameron that called a referendum on brexit !.
So isn't it he that has split the Tory party.
Why should Farage feel aggrieved if 3 former prime ministers don't get knighted either?
I can't see Tony turning one down. It would do wonders for US tours and book sales.
Former PMs are automatically ennobled unless they decline the honour, as did Churchill, Heath and Major, though they accepted knighthoods.
What does enobled mean? Is that being a Lord?
Obviously don't follow politics very closely - have absolutely no idea who these "leading" pro-Brixit ministers are.
Yes. Knighthoods are usually granted to those who do not wish to become a lord.
Neither do I, maggie.
//what would Farage expect a knighthood for?//

A man of a single principle (quit the EU) forced a man devoid of any to hold the Brexit referendum.

Is that too difficult for you, Zac's Master debater?
Actually they are not and never have been ministers although they may have been shadow ministers when in opposition. They are all just back-bench MPs.
I think some of you are forgetting that the people who dish out the honours are not rabid Brexit supporters.
Graham Brady Is not a member of the Department for exiting the European Union, so to claim the honour as a leading brexitter is misleading.
More likely he was honoured be ause he is Chairman of the Conservative 1922 committee.
Churchill turned down the title of Duke.
