She certainly seems to be going the right way about it.

What a shambles.

gawd help us, the last thing we need is to still be attached to the EU court of injustice. Madness, what's the PM been drinking?
seem to be all at sea, another idea wasted, or yet another u turn it would seem, though the idea is only being mooted at this point.
don't know about giving the keys to Corbyn but she doesn't seem to have the finger on the pulse of her cabinet nor constituents.

A weak remoaner, she should not be PM.
she's a typical Tory leader, trying to bridge feuding members of her own party . (Corbyn has the same problem but seems to be managing it at the moment, though of course he's not in power, which makes a difference).

Europe brought Thatcher down; why would May do any better?
who would replace her ?
///The Prime Minister has held talks about a potential referral system to the ECJ for European citizens who remain in the UK. ///

///They added that such a move would be acceptable to Brexit supporters because referrals would 'still be a UK court decision' an(d) 'numbers would be very small'.///

///One senior Government source said the solution would be a 'good compromise' and could represent a significant breakthrough in Brexit negotiations. ///

Still in the discussion-phase and a possible sop to the Eurocrats to help move talks on.

Sounds fairly sensible to me as long as it’s limited to the people described.
I am extremely disappointed with May. I supported her for the leadership but she has proved that she cannot cut the mustard. I suppose I was hoping for a Maggie Mk II but it was not to be.

How is it sensible to have a foriegn Court able to over rule the law of the land then ZM?

Anyone here of their own free will should abide by our laws as any Brits abroad should abide by the laws of the Country they are in.

She would not be fit to carry TGL's handbag Jack.
It’s nothing to do with ‘overuling’ UK law. UK judges would only liaise with EU courts if they decide to, in circumstances relating to EU nationals. I don’t see the problem.
It’s not the big deal you’re trying to make it into and certainly not a move that will Edge Jezza closer to No10.
I agree with ZM.Only cases referred to them will be judged.

WHAT, and have another incompetent leader at No 10?
St Paul's appeal to a higher jurisdiction: civis Romanus sum.
"Sounds fairly sensible to me as long as it’s limited to the people described."

Why should anybody living in the UK have recourse to a foreign court to settle disputes? Imagine:

"I don't like the decision of the UK court in this matter"

"Oh, Ok then, take it to the ECJ and we'll abide by its decision."

A government spokesman added that "...such a move would be acceptable to Brexit supporters because referrals would 'still be a UK court decision' an 'numbers would be very small'."

Well it would not be acceptable to me, even if the numbers were in single digits. What happens if the UK courts refuse a referral? Where is that decision challenged?

One of the main reasons for Brexit is to rid the country of the pernicious influence of the EU. Continuing to succomb to its courts - in however small a way - does not achieve that aim.If it's that important to them, people living in the UK who want the protection provided by EU institutions after Brexit should simply move to one of the remaining 27 countries.
Except it wouldn’t be the EU nationals decision NJ. It would be the courts.
What this woman wants it seems, is the status quo, but called Brexit in name only and costing the taxpayers even more money than it does now. She is a nightmare in the madhouse, completely out of her depth, and should go.
I agree. She should have gone in June when she threw away her majority.
The courts should not have the opportunity to pass on their responsibility to make a judgement to some external court. We can not recognise the ECJ as superior to our own courts regardless how it's proposed to send cases to it.
In these case, Why?
