Yes this is a clear demonstration of what EU membership entails. The UK has clear principles which it uses to deport citizens of non-EU nations where criminality is concerned and where the presence of an individual in the UK is not in the public interest. These principles cannot be applied to citizens of EU nations. It is extremely difficult to deport them and...

No if they have the right of free movement
It really depends on each individuals situation and circumstances. however, I'm sure you would be delighted if we could send every foreigner back to their homeland!
AOG...for what reason would they need to be deported ?

As Islay has said, we have freedom of movement between the European states, and as of right now, Britain is still a member of the EU.
Yes they should.
And there was me thinking every foreigner was given a has and shed loads of benefits.
If they're not working, not paying taxes and just littering up our streets, they shouldn't be our problem. I'd support the move to deport them.

Once we leave the EU - YES.
I would like to know what criminal offence they have committed that warrants deportation.
I would like to know who's paying for them to take their case to the high court?
Not being British Danny!
I am sure some can be found.

Not me at the moment though (Seems I am to old now despite 10 years to go!) - I dont work. :-)
and dont claim benefits before some bright spark pipes up.
YMB, yes, that's what I thought. I wonder where their lawyers send their correspondence?
It has little to do with freedom of movement as it is the 'right to reside' granted under European Union law.

It says so in the article.

I agree with NoM.
some have worked here and paid their dues, as in one guy was laid off from work and now lives on streets, that was a BBC report a couple of nights ago. I am all for deporting those who don't want to work, though how to tell that is the case..
