The Queen has been caught stashing her millions into an offshore bank account. Do you feel betrayed by her actions? Should she now apologise to the nation and offer her resignation?

no, no, monarchs do not resign.

bet there were some hot words yesterday morning in one of her residences...

She hasn't done anything illegal - and a lot of this so-called Paradise is only the wealthy, as has always gone on and will continue to do so, minimising their tax exposure within the framework of international tax regimes - it is not illegal evasion. No doubt, and fairly so, some evasion will be found and there the arms of the law should descend - for example, the Mrs Brown's arrangement does look a tad dodgy at first sight......

It has shades of overkill to it as does the sex harassment purge - and look what that has just resulted in.

Just to go further - do you think the Queen sits there with a calculator and her forms and works out where her money is going?
On the 2.35 at Exeter today, Islay, that's the only money she cares about - bet she knows the odds too.
HM the Queen does not have a clue where her cash is invested she has minions to take care of her affairs on her behalf.
Definitely not !
I doubt very much she is aware where her £ billions are , as long as the interest is coming in.
she's probably got millions in each major and minor UK bank (even inc RBS) and a fair smattering of European and Commonwealth banks (the credible ones) and their offshore offices.
No, no & no.
Ah gawd bless her, she's fair been stitched up she 'as, done up like a kipper.
A handful of used 20s and a shiny bauble to hang around the neck of a suitable fall guy flunkey may follow.

I have to say though, I expected more from the most privileged in the land, doubling down on the handouts they get to keep them in castles and corgis.

No, but her advisors do, all paid for by the taxpayer and stuffed into tax avoidance schemes. Oh the irony!
"Just to go further - do you think the Queen sits there with a calculator and her forms and works out where her money is going?"

No indeed, just like, oh I don't know, Jimmy Carr and the sainted Gary Barlow among others.
We may yet see a similar response as theirs from the palace but somehow I doubt it. Not like she needs folk to buy tickets, books, CDs or DVDs to keep her cash rolling in.
There would only be irony if the Queen did it - which she didn't.
Your bitterness is in full flow I see today!

indeed not, she gets our money and we don't even get a DVD in return. At least Gary Barlow understands the nature of give and take.

She didn't do it, her advisors did. She was only acting on orders.

Your fawning to royalty is in full flow I see today!

She may of course have misunderstood the title, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs and thought of it as an organisation dedicated to her care and comfort.
