Dear goodness, horrendous - those poor people.
How awful, I feel for all those involved.
There is a sickness infecting society globally. What to do?
What can one say that hasn't already been said. Time and time again!
It is one fecked up country!
This seems to be a US phenomenon, shooting people in church. It may come to a time when people are too frightened to go to church.

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace
And let light perpetual shine upon them.
It's not a 'sickness infecting society globally' it's the inevitable result of a country that lets anyone own as many guns as they want without any checks. In Texas you can buy a gun and a box of ammunition as easily as we can buy a tin of baked beans and a loaf of bread.
Remember I posted this last week?
The US State that has banned fireworks including sparklers but guns are still legal.

Seems even more ironic now, we are worried about fireworks frightening animals, I know where I would rather live, at least I am not in permanent fear of some nut case shooting me.

Déjà vu
## Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the death toll and said it was the worst mass shooting in the history of Texas.##

And probably more to come in America, if they dont sort their gun control out.

Is anyone refused a gun license in America I wonder ?
The 2nd amendment and the availability of guns is relevant point.

Park that particular argument for a while as we look at two recent mass murders. If one murderer had been denied a gun licence, and the other a driving licence, then two atrocities would have been averted?

Is that the argument?
Utterly appalling, so many lives lost.
I've heard that there is one town, I believe in Arizona, that walking down the street, you will be booked for NOT wearing a gun ...what hope has a country got that allows that type of insanity !!!
Eddie is right.

America will be wringing its hands this morning, and floral tributes will be laid outside the church. Various public figure will appear on our screens, and say "something must be done"

Then, in a day or two, it will all be forgotten about, the gun industry will make even more money, and everything will go back to normal again.

Until the next time, which might be next week.
This is what Trump has tweeted ::

"May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan"

Lets translate that......

"Where was God when he was needed ?....the Law turned up too late....I am nice and safe, a long way away"
It's not the first mass shooting in a church in the USA. There was the Charleston massacre in 2015. It takes a particular kind of evil to attack people in a church.
Piers Morgan for POUS !
I would like to think that this would be seen by all Americans this morning :::::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-41474594/las-vegas-how-us-mass-shootings-are-getting-worse
Stupid remarks of the century, coming from Trump ::::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-41479161/what-s-donald-trump-said-about-guns-and-gun-control

This is the man who also said that if people in the Bataclan Theatre, in Paris, two years ago, had been armed, then more people would have survived.

With a idiot like this in the White House, is it any wonder that we continue see this appalling loss of life in the Land of the Free !
