Netanyahu in London, centenary of Balfour Declaration, next week. But the a-hole is happy to send Emily Thornberry, shadow foreign minister. Why has he not got the balls to attend, or explain why he wishes not to attend. And why leave it to Thornberry (Lady Neuberger)?

What can be expected from a publicly very anti semite?
The World is full of whys - like why you need to describe a person as you do in your second sentence.

Yes, he should be forthcoming with his reasons for non attendance.

Mamy: Because he's an a-hole.
Scooping, would you not have labelled him a hypocrite had he accepted the invite?
I would have thought his reasons for not attending are very apparent,he is anti Semite as are many in th Labour party.
It's just a pity we must discourage our young from reading News debates on here in case they pick up all this lazy language.
I am not a fan of J Corbyn but the language used here in the question is pretty vile
Put simply Jeremy Corbyn, and indeed a lot of the hard l have a problem with Israel.
Its a problem for me as I am a natural Labour supporter, but I very much support Israel. Many Jews in Britain now find it impossible to vote Labour
The op's language may be uncalled for but the gist of his post is relevant.
I really do not see why we should care.

I feel no investment whatsoever in the Israel-Palestine issue. Even if I did, though, the Opposition leader's stance on it would still be very unimportant to me because the flavour of hot air which UK govts choose to blast out on the issue has little or no impact on real-world affairs.

Why do you care so much?
Also I can see that there are some anti-semitic Labour members (because anyone who goes to the length of actually joining a political party is typically an awful person) but apart from one inappropriately familiar turn of phrase at a self-important little meeting, I can't think of anything which Corbyn personally has said or done which convincingly demonstrates him to be a jew-hater.
A supporter of Hez Bollah is not anti Jewish?
Kromo....he isn't, he is just speaking up for the Palestinians who have been oppressed by Israel since just after WW2.

But there are some on here that leap on the anti-Semite bandwagon, mainly to try and draw attention away from this present Tory Government's shambles.
Mikey, this has nothing to do with the government,still got your blinkers on I see;
All pretty standard stuff from the Labour party.
Having a jolly with Hezbollah instead then, nice. Far left, one step from the Nazis of old.
He called Hezbollah "friends" at one dumb meeting years ago. Inappropriate, pretentious, and probably ignorant, yes. I'm not sure it's exactly a pattern of jew-hating though (which is what you're saying if you call him an anti-semite).
The answer is because he is an anti-Semite, is a 'useful fool' to and 'friend' of Hamas, who believe Israel has no right to exist and should be wiped from the face of the earth.
What has the Labour Party come to, having such a creep as its leader?
