Dog Owners - An Apology.

OK folks, sorry for saying I hate dog owners. Out of order. Not changed my view about dogs though. If you don't know why I've posted this thread, look here:

I've never known a bad dog, just appalling owners. Did anybody see the sheep slaughter on Countryfile. The sooner farmers carry their guns the better.

It's one thing to express concern about something Clarion, it's another to say you 'hate' dogs, especially in this scenario. the photos were gorgeous but obviously posed, so the child was in no danger whatsoever. To be honest you wouldn't be invited into our house if you don't like dogs (not that you'd probably want to come anyway because I imagine five dogs are a little away from your taste as settee companions), but seriously, why hate an entire species, I don't even dislike people that much :)

If everyone had your attitude, Clarion, the suffering of dogs would be even more widespread than it already is.

I've always had dogs in my life and I've adopted dogs from abroad and the loyalty and unconditional love I've received in return is just priceless.

Dogs, on the whole, are much nicer than humans and much more trustworthy.

I'm not so bothered about whether you like dogs or not, your opinion, you're entitled to voice them.

What I did dislike however was your comment about exporting them abroad for food consumption. Not sure if you're aware of the appalling way they're slaughtered, or whether you do and don't care. Either way, that particular comment was awful and showed a callousness which frankly took my breath away.
