This man is absolutely correct. My daughter works for a famous retailer in an area heavily populated by immigrants. She is regularly abused and insulted by them but her complaints to management always lead to nothing. Yesterday she was putting stock into the medicine/cosmetics aisle when an asian woman came up to her, prodded her in the shoulder and said;...

That goes beyond free speach in so many ways!
TTT, Free speech does not mean that you can make offensive remarks which are deemed to be racist.
free speech whilst wearing your employer's uniform is a no-no.
Guy is a twonk.
TTT.......this has nothing whatsoever to do with free speech, and you are far too intelligent to think that it does.

Why come out and give half-hearted support for this man ?
what did he expect ?..internet is no place for racist rants...
I hope Sainsbury's sack him, if they haven't already done so.
most likely Albs !
TTT you know as well as we do that 'free speech' does not include racist remarks or incitement to commit a crime.
I fail to see what you hope to gain from posting this.
They will probably wait for the outcome of the police investigation.
TTT...a straight-talking question for you !

Do you think that this man is making racist remarks, or not...simple yes or no will suffice.
If the customer had happened to be just another awkward and annoying British customer, of which there must be hundreds each day, the police would not be interested and we would have never heard anything about it.

So much for a country that strives for equality.
AOG his remarks were not aimed at 'a customer' they werr aimed at an Asian when he mimicked his accent. You now this very well.
AOFG....a not unexpected response from you !

Same question to you, as I asked TTT.
First off the tablet claims answerbank closed the connection, then when I get back it's slung all the typing away. (Then I am in a 10 minute conversation.) Arrrhhh !!!!!

Free speech can cover anything. Society decides what isn't free after all.

Anyone can have an opinion but one needs to select where to express it, as there may be consequences.

Sainsbury's couldn't be seen to be allowing staff denigrating valued customers, especially on the Internet.

C'est la vie.

no I'm not backing him, just thought it would make a good Friday morning discussion topic.
What is to discuss?
Stick to telling your mates down the pub.

if it helps mikey, yes I'd say the phrasing is racist but the observations are accurate.
A good Friday morning topic,.... Me thinks it's back fired a bit, not much support for the racist rant as yet !!!!!!
