Lets hope so YMB.

But Tesco was selling chicken until a few days ago, from the now-disgraced 2 Sisters factor, and some of their ex-staff are in court as I type, on charges of fraud.
Lidl sourced chicken from the same place, Mikey, what's your point?

I believe they have 464,520 employees, so like any company that size there are bound to be bad apples.

The chicken sales should not have been occurring though if they were aware of it.

//2 Sisters, which is owned by food tycoon Ranjit Boparan, is the largest supplier of poultry meat to UK supermarkets.//

I suspect they supplied a lot of chicken to a lot of places. And it wont just be supermarkets.
The fraud in the chicken factory would be continuing now, if it wasn't for the joint Guardian/ITV News investigation.

Tesco uses its own Inspectors, as well as relying on the now discredited Food Inspectors. Both failed to spot the fraud, although the Guardian/ITV seemed to have had no such difficulty.

Yes Mamy, you are right. Tesco isn't the only major supermarket to be left with egg on its face.
Do you know whether Lidl did any inspections, Mikey?
I know this is off topic, but it annoys me no end when folk complain about food problems but don't do anything about it.

Buy from where you can source your meat. EG local butchers/fishmongers
No I don't FF, and its a very good question.
