"T" He paid the price without costing an innocent person their life, good result I'm sorry to say.
He did have a gun in the car
Thanks for the updates guys.
Does anyone have any more news about this ?....The road is still closed I notice.
I wonder if forensic experts are having problems making evidence match accounts of the incident.
Dougie....naughty !

The road should be opened this lunch time.
No doubt it will turn out that he was a really nice bloke who never did anything wrong to anyone and the relatives will be demanding an enquiry about why such a lovely man was shot.
Eyewitnesses seem to suggest that he was sitting motionless in the car with his hands clearly visible on the steering wheel when the police who had surround the vehicle discharged their weapons shooting him approximately 10 times. Whilst I'm not suggesting he was a good guy or unarmed or indeed to contrary because it will be an age until we get to the bottom of what's happened- the car does appear to be bullet riddled on each side, and the handgun which the police so casually left on top of the car isn't police issue or easily identifiable making it entirely possible that if this was his gun, it was imitation, as I can't imagine officers leaving a potentially loaded firearm lying about on the roof if it was. I hope he just wasn't a local dinlo waving a toy about.
Waving a toy gun about in public often ends in tears.
It does indeed. It's a tragic end whatever, however if it's some muppet with a toy it's somehow more tragic than if it's someone with the real thing who is a credible threat :(
Cheaper than Dignitas if you're looking to end it all though.
//So you think that it is a waste of time, trying to resuscitate a person who still has a pulse?//

you shoot someone ten times and he still lives ?
it sounds like negligence or at least a case for a disciplinary
or
Q.why did you shoot the suspect ten times?
A.because we wanted to question him afterwards !

I have to admit [but hell this is AB - so the only answer I will get is 'who dat den' or 'I didnt read it coz it made no sense, so how did I know if I didnt read it yeah ?'] admit that

Liverpool had someone who took five bullets mainly to his liver and walked into casualty - built like a brick you-know-what needless to say
I bet their body cams werent on or were on the table in the coffee room
He wasn't shot 10 ten times. There were 10 gunshots but not all of them hit him
Does that mean 'police marksmen' were on other duties?

///A motorist was shot ten times by armed police as they responded to reports of a man threatening another driver with a handgun///

We can wait until the investigation proceeds and reveals more information - or we can speculate.

I'll do the former.
