Say what you like about Boris, and I have said it all over the years, but who else would give an interview. in a hotel lobby, all sweaty after coming back from a run ?

Boris's sole reason for existence is to grab the Tory leadership, it is behind every move he makes. Remember he phoned Cameron just 8 hours before the official referendum campaine was due to start and said he would change sides and support Remain as long as he was guaranteed the Tory leadership as a reward. Cameron refused and the rest is history.

I suppose it depends on which politicians the reptiles can ambush on the way back from their jog.
Doubt he had much choice.

Didnt they once accost JC on his way back from his allotment?
I wouldn't have thought Jesus had to grow his own?

I disagree with almost everything that Boris says and does, but I can't help liking him all the same.

He would be a great bloke to spend an evening in the Pub with !

And I don't say that about many Tory MPs, perhaps with the exception of Ken Clark.
Why not C. Jesus made his own wine .

Anne...have you crossed over into PP territory here ?
Looks like its £17bn and Boris stays; 'Theresa May is set to make a Brexit bill offer of £17bn (€20bn) in her speech in Florence on Friday, according to the Financial Times. The newspaper reports that the Prime Minister’s EU adviser, Olly Robbins, told counterparts that May will detail plans for Britain to continue to pay money to the EU until at least 2020, in a bid to break the deadlock in Brexit talks. Downing Street said the report was ‘pure speculation’.

Boris stays put
Boris Johnson won’t quit after he was assured by No.10 that the Prime Minister would not seek a ‘Swiss-style’ Brexit deal involving paying for access to the single market, the Times reported. The Foreign Secretary will join the PM in Florence for her speech alongside Cabinet colleagues in a bid to end speculation about his future. Boris told the Guardian that reports about him quitting were a ‘great snoreathon’. He earlier insisted that the Cabinet was a 'nest of singing birds'.'

The Spectator, Lunchtime Espresso.

We will have to see.

If May coughs up a single penny there will be trouble.

Mind you she is useless and finished anyway.

Not heard that story, Eddie. Any evidence to back it up?
^ It was widely reported at the time.
Doesn't mean it's true !
I've never read that reported.
He was writing newspaper columns in Favour of Remain , just weeks before the referendum campaine started

But he was not using his real name.
Boris J - wonderfully clever, a one-off, full of great one-liners, but not a diplomat.
The obvious choice as Foreign Secretary, especially as we have no pressing crises with our near neoghbours abroad just now.
Just as someone like Trump is the obvious choice as president, but at least he was voted into the post. May didn't have to ...
'but not a diplomat'

I'm not sure it's a time for diplomacy at the moment. It's more time for someone who tells it like it is without shilly-shallying around.
Donald Trump certainly would agree.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned his speech to the UN, in fact talking of which ...
Eddie, //Remember he phoned Cameron just 8 hours before the official referendum campaine was due to start and said he would change sides and support Remain as long as he was guaranteed the Tory leadership as a reward.//

I don't remember that. Can you back it up?
ichi; //Boris J - wonderfully clever, a one-off, full of great one-liners, but not a diplomat. //

So was Winston Churchill!
I was more talking of Boris than The Donald.
