She should be sacked. I don't know about Mosques being investigated for for radical teachings, but I think it is time we took note of what kind of radical views are being taught in both our schools and universities.

More fool the people who voted for her.
Scary ..
She is not the first and most certainly will not be the last to make such proposals. Eventually calls for such action will be heeded by Parliament and enacted (when sufficient numbers of radical Muslims are elected as MPs, that is). It won't happen next week or even next year, but it will happen.
What a nice individual. Must send her a present of some skin bleaching cream, in thanks.
Imagine a society so oppressive that it gave semi-radicalised loons the freedom to stand for election and spout hateful dross.

Now pass me my virtual horse whip and we'll get on with some totes Islamic discipline.
"[she] also suggested friendship between men and women is un-Islamic"

She's correct there, so it is, along with every other form of life's pleasures.

She's from the same mould as Dave Spart, the student activist featured in Private Eye.
Let her enjoy her 15 minutes of fame, or infamy
I'm not sure she is the president of the students' union at Salford University . This site names someone else
https://www.salfordstudents.com/studentvoice/officers/president.

Some of her views are from 5 year old posts so maybe dont reflect her views now, but even so I find it hard to believe her stated commitment to tackling homophobia. I am always amazed that student unions tolerate radical Muslim groups/societies when thy would not tolerate any other group sharing such views on homosexuality, semitism, women's rights
In one tweet from May 9, 2012 under the hashtag #ifIwasPresident, she wrote:

'I'd oppress white people just to give them a taste of what they put us through!'

I'm going to hazard a guess that she has been put through *** all and people have actually jumped through hoops to help her.

Hate filled woman who will find plenty of support from the 'Look at me I'm not racist' lunatics.

Most students don't bother to vote and are not interested in student politics which is how the extreme nutcases get elected.
If she is President they need a new one, divisive.
Fear my feelings would be censored
At first I thought her comments might be tongue-in-cheek, but I suspect I may be wrong.

Is she enrolled in the 'Moronic Studies' course?

If so, she'll probably get a double first.
She should be sacked.

Part of the inherent joy of being a student is the complete absence of any concept of responsibility.

This extends to having the essentials of life provided for you with little or no effort on your part.

It means that the valuable time that the people who support you spend earning the money they give to supporting you, and themselves, is free for you to indulge your mind in the most pointless endless facile claptrap your fertile intelligence can create, and then share it with the wider world.

It`s a wonderful, giddy time, when you can make an utter idiot of yourself in public, before you have to grow up and join the real world and accept adult behavior and attitudes, and then cringe at just what a twenty-four-carat numpty you were back at university.

I hope someone reminds this young lady of this in ten years time, but for now, the sensible response is to smile indulgently, shake your head gently, and get back to something more important than paying attention to people like her - like putting the things in the fridge in alphabetical order.
