What next? The Queen's Speech, albeit a little later than expected. Next!
Naomi (and Theresa May, I assume) right now:

How long can the Queen's speech be delayed? I thought it had to be next Monday?
I think it clashed with the start of Brexit negotiations in Brussels. And the EU talks are more impotant than parading a tippexed manifesto.
Jim, what's that all about?

Take heart, Eddie. More time for Jeremy to get his opposition to it ready. ;o)

the Queen requested it was 19th so it didn't interfere with Ascot. Theresa certainly knows how to make friends with influential people :)

david-davis-admits-government-may-pursue-softer-brexit-

What a strangely worded link.

Can anyone see the word 'pursue' or 'softer' in the article?
Wouldn't a softer brexit upset the Labour chief John McDonnell?
Naomi, I should have thought that a dog sitting in the middle of a house on fire, flames crackling all around him, and sitting in the middle with a cuppa saying that "this is fine", is perfectly self-explanatory.
naomi, I have to repeat my comment that I made on another thread.
You are wasted on AB. Someone who has your aptitude /ability to impart 'spin' to any news that does not 100% fit your chosen view will be of great value as a Political adviser or press officer.
You could earn a fortune as press officer to the Conservative party or your hero Trump !
Why not offer your services to them? You are a lot better at it than any 'spin doctor' I have ever heard of!
Jim, would on earth would you think that applies to me?
// One of the reasons for the delay is also believed to be because the speech has to be written on goat's skin parchment paper, which takes a few days to dry - and the Tory negotiations with the DUP mean it cannot be ready in time. //

I kid you not.

I would have that that was how we are expected to react as a nation after every new terrorist attack.
Eddie, thanks for the compliment, but I see no 'spin' - at least not from me. Jeremy is planning to oppose it.
The Leader of the Opposition plans to oppose the Governments' legislative programme.

The world has gone mad.
Question Author
Obviously he's leader of the opposition, and Mayday is 'leading' (and I lose the word loosely) a minority Government. He'd not be much of an opposition leader if he agreed with it would he?
There you go, Eddie, Gromit and Kvalidir know.
naomi, even you must realise that the role of the leader of the opposition is to oppose?
What would you be saying if the labour party won but with no majority? Would you be criticising Mrs May for opposing Corbyn?
Eddie, what are you talking about? Where have I said that the opposition shouldn't oppose?
