And I know two people died but considering the police called this a 'domestic' isn't this response a little OTT?
14 Police cars, 6 Ambulances, 4 Paramedics, 3 Helicoptors 1 paramilitary police vehicle.
Also the police used a stun grenade and tasers but both have been described as ineffective, lack of training, faulty equipment or both?

perhaps they thought it was terror related, does seem somewhat heavy handed.
One police officer was stabbed, another injured and many lives were potentially at risk.

They knew what they were dealing with, according to the Video 'unarmed officers entered the flat, were confronted by the knifeman and tasered him' but not very effectively it would seem.
Armed officers were then called in as back up.
silly question but why is the story named uk-england-birmingham, when it quite clearly took place in wolverhampton?
Because BBC news on the website categorises Wolverhampton under 'Birmingham and The Black Country, if you look towards the top of the page.

Even though Wolverhampton is neither part of Birmingham nor the Black Country :(
