Oh that's a shock. RIP.
I believe he was in Corrie for a while. I know he became very seriously ill a while back.
Shame - people who knew him said he was a nice man.

I always thought 'Allo 'Allo was as funny as Last Of The Summer Wine, as in, not at all.
"Gbye Gbye! What a shame. Seemed like such a lovely man and have always loved the TV programme. Our friends in France say the French loved it just as much as we did. RIP.
I discovered, much later in life, that I was a contemporary at university of Arthur Bostrom, Officer Crabtree, though I never met him.
RIP Gordon.
RIP Gorden.
Apologies - RIP Gorden.
R.I.P

Aww, RIP Gordon. I liked 'Ello 'Ello, especially the French policeman " Good Moaning".....

..

aog at 16:05, I remember that and the permanent dent he had in his head thereafter.
A cousin of mine who is French took great exception to ‘Allo ‘Allo. She never could understand that the programme made fun of not just the French, but of ALL nationalities involved. Brilliantly written and brilliantly acted. Comedy at its finest.
