Well we all know which camp Assange is in.
It is a sad reflection of our times that this slimy chancer is regarded as a hero by so many people who should know better
Bit harsh.

Still who cares what he thinks. he is an alleged criminal hiding.
Yes, is he not the one who instrumental in bringing into the light a certain recording of heroes aboard a helicopter doing their very best for the world in Iraq ? Shocking.
Julian who?

"Assange" am I right?

/// Well we all know which camp Assange is in. ///

And which one would that be then, the 'cholera' camp or the 'gonorrhea' camp?

*** Assange has also denied he is supporting Trump by releasing information on the Democratic party, and has previously described this election as being a choice between 'cholera and gonorrhea.' ***

The Putin camp AOG.

I don't know if the Russians really are in cahoots with Trump: they would certainly like him to be president, and they have certainly been caught spying on the democrats. Assange is a willing part of the Russian media campaign to undermine the west's confidence in itself. Why do they do it It is not for the sake of "world domination" that is for sure, but they certainly do it.
And half of Corbyn's advisers seem to be in the same sorry boat.

And don't you think that it would be good for everyone if the relationship between the West and Russia was improved?
Not with lies and a feeble kowtowing to Moscow, no.
There were doubtless people in the 30s who thought it would be so much nicer if we were friends with Hitler ...

anybody know if the Swedish prosecutor has been to the Ecuadorian embassy in London yet and, if so, what the outcome was. All they need to do is to offer a guarantee that JA will not be extradited Stateside and leave the CIA to do a Litvinenko or have the Russians take it on, as they seem to be quite efficient as this.
well that's Godwin's law invoked ich!
If and when Assange leaves the embassy and it turns out that the US don't even want him alive, never mind want him dead, then all anyone will remember is the criminal charges and a couple of sexy transcripts (which someone else had the courage/foolhardiness to steal).
And the myth of Julian will be exploded forever :-)
my pleasure Tora :-)
DTC > anybody know if the Swedish prosecutor has been to the Ecuadorian embassy in London yet and, if so, what the outcome was

I said severals years ago they should have gone but didn't which resulted in criticism from some 'body' I can't remember who.

At least one of the charges were dropped as it had time lapsed.

Assange doesn't trust that he may be handed over to the US...
Assange isn't an "alleged" criminal, he is an actual criminal, unless jumping bail is now no longer a crime in Britain. Not only that, I believe he should be charged for it if he ever does scurry out of his hidey-hole, though I'd much rather he faced the music in Sweden.
DTC - It seems Ecuador would not co-operate:-

“The Ministry of Justice notices that Ecuador maintains its position that a specific agreement must be undertaken between Sweden and Ecuador in order for Ecuador to grant legal assistance in accordance with the Swedish request,” it said.

“The Ministry of Justice can only reiterate that it is not customary to establish a specific agreement concerning any individual request for legal assistance. Such an agreement must be considered redundant, given the specified content of the Swedish request and common practices”

The Swedish communiqué then hardened its position.

“The Ministry of Justice kindly asks once more Ecuador to reconsider its position,” it states. “If not, the Ministry of Justice would have to conclude that Ecuador is not prepared to grant the legal assistance requested by Sweden.”

thanks ag, so he's not coming out soon......
DTC > I can't see any time soon.

He did publicly say he would come out if the European Court ruling wouldn't rule in his favour (which he already knew the answer!) The small international group including the Aussie rep who abstained predictably.

All to the dismay of the UK authorities and the irritation of Mr Hammond!
If he said good morning I`d check if it was light - he values his own ego trip more than the safety of others.
^ you've been in the Ecuadorian embassy??
