/// Manchester University Diversity Officer Ilyas Nagdee posted: 'Stupid decision by @gmpolice to decide attackers should be seen as Muslim. Maybe that's why Islamophobias gone up 300% in the UK.' ///

Pleased to note however that they took the health and safety of the victims very seriously, noticing the eye protection glasses.

I think JTH was referring to a banned user who possibly has returned on this thread in another guise.
Foolish police. They should have had the sense to portray the terrorists as lizards. No group would dare complain, and attention would have been drawn to the insidious way they've infiltrated society on this planet, and taking over all authoritative roles. The police must go for more realism next time.
The British Herpetological Society would have rightly had cause to complain. Spiders would have been a better choice.
//it is an inescapable fact that over the last 2 years the majority of terrorist attacks have been claimed by ISIS. //

It is an inescapable fact that over the past 15 years the vast majority (if not all) of terrorist attacks and foiled terrorist attempts in this country have been committed by Muslims. Let the police do their job. No apology necessary.

On behalf of the British Arachnid Society I wish to object to Prudie's suggestion.

retrcop - Do you have tears of righteous indignation in your eyes when you post responses like that?//

No not really.I do feel for the families who have lost their loved ones who I have, with my colleagues, removed their bodies piece by piece from the scene.
I get some graphic flashbacks but you probably won't know of the saying,
'Cometh the hour. Cometh the men'?? No time for tears when there is a job to be done even if as a young 19yr old policeman you didn't think attending bomb scenes was part of the job description. Wasn't like anything I saw on Dixon.
No Andy. I don't shed tears. I just thank myself lucky that I rose to the occasion and was man enough not to end up in a phsycie ward for a year being fed uppers for the rest of my life to level my mind. I suppose I can count myself the lucky one can't I ?
@andy-hughes

Your 19:09 post

//I think that's a very fair summary and analysis of the situation. I am delighted to move on. //

consists of an excessively long quote of a message, clearly on display, just two message slots further up the page, plus your one-liner.

In all your 'n' years of experience, on internet forums, has no-one ever told you how infernally irritating this is, before now?

A prefix of @Barmaid would have sufficed, or maybe a snippet of her closing paragraph.

Quoting entire posts is for when you want to pick someone's post apart, line by line. Nodding and agreeing to move on shouldn't take up that much space, should it?

@retrocop

// in a phsycie ward for a year being fed uppers for the rest of my life to level my mind. //

Did this actually happen to a colleague (out of the same incidents), or something? You sound like you are speaking from experience, there.

Barmaid your post @18:34

Is a very fair summary and analysis of the situation. I am delighted to move on.

Easy innit , Hypo.

I was a RM for best part of 20 years and went to The Falklands and one or two other unpleasant tours of duty.
I killed (it was War) and saw people around me killed and wounded, recovering the wounded and the dead was not easy especially as in some cases we had lived ,trained, worked and socialised together for a good few years. One or two that I know of needed lengthy periods of help to get over it, nothing to be ashamed of imo, it happens.

They just don't understand do they? The biggest trauma one on here might experience is the death of some nonentity musician who died of a self inflicted drug OD which he once interviewed .!!!

My heart goes out to him!
Lol.
//Different though. Retro has been suspended loads of times....

Looks like another gang up to me.//

Ummm
Yes I have been suspended twice as a result of saying similar things to A-H.
So he replies in a similar vein and you,of course, defend him and believe he is above reproach and shoudn't be suspended ??
You obviously share his double standards.
If a anti-social pariah frequented your uncle's pub and caused regulars to find another pub do you also think your uncle and his regulars were 'ganging up' on the obnoxious patron if your uncle barred said pariah for ruining his trade?
Ironic that there is a thread on CB asking why this site is becoming quiet isn't it?
Divebuddy seems to have lost interest and retrochic has deactivated her account to name just two. You work it out.
Do you have a different record you could play, retrocop, this one is becoming tediously repetitive.....?
Ummm
Your favourite was defending paedophiles earlier with regards to the SOR and their anonimity. He stated that what was done by the offenders in the past shouldn't be judged for ever. Seems like I don't get that privilege by you. Just because I was suspended I have to take insults by he who must not be criticised and you endorse it!!
JTH
Don't read it then.
I have no wish to be suspended because the naughty step is a cold and damp place at the best of times and would play havoc with my haemorrhoids. However, I have noticed that a certain poster, no matter what the question, will immediately adopt an opposing stance, copying and pasting at length to an exordinate degree and mildly insulting those who dare to disagree with him. That is my definition of tedium.
It's becoming difficult to avoid......unfortunately.
