Donald Trump described Europe as being 'dangerous'. Europe has an 'intentional murder rate' of 80% that of the good old USA. What a Prat.

jomifl.....Compare this to all the other of his daft utterances.

Trump is just a mouth-on-a-stick, and he will continue to say things that his American audience wants him to say. He would start praising Hitler, if he thought that there were votes in it.
I agree with Trump.

\\\\Donald Trump described Europe as being 'dangerous'\\\

That is what he said and to me that is correct at this moment.

Would you think twice about going to a major European City?

I would.

Now I haven't read what Trump actually said; however, if he did refer to Europe as "being dangerous", I would think that he was commenting upon the terrorist/refugee/migrant/asylum seeker volatile situation over there.
I watched his interview with Piers the other night I found it very difficult to disagree with much that he said - except on guns.
Without an in-depth search of the internet, this is the only report I found, but it doesn't mention an 'intentional murder rate'.

Why exactly would his American audience want to hear him say "Europe is dangerous" Mikey ? Most of them would be hard pressed to find Mexico on a map let alone Europe!
Crikey. A massive percentage of Americans don't even possess passports so why should they wish to hear about Europe?
He thinks America isn't safe also.
"He said Europe had lots of “very, very severe” problems and added that he did not even think America was a safe place for Americans."

Perhaps trump should address his own country's problems rather than comment on counties about which he appears to know very little.
I bet he knows quite a bit about say...................Scotland.
Question Author
But he seems not to know quite enough about Scotland or that it is populated by Scots who can skin a fart for a ha'penny....oh! they just did.
I suppose Scotland's loss will be Ireland's gain. An expensive way to prove a point. I wonder if a wind farm will generate as much benefit for Aberdeenshire as the 140 bed Hotel complex will for Ireland.
Hi Retro: "Why exactly would his American audience want to hear him say "Europe is dangerous"?"

I think Europe is (rightly or wrongly) often thought of as an example of progressive social policy working for a great deal of people. A bit like when we get told we can be like Denmark or Norway or something - progressive, efficient, rich.

Addressing this kind of idea with "actually, progressive social and fiscal policy has made the place dangerous because they also let some foreigners in" is going to be appealing to those who want a counter option.

Trump is mostly about being the alternative to whatever the establishment trend is, so this fits with it nicely.

That would be one answer to why they might want to hear about the dangers of Europe.
