Corbyn is mostly untested at the polls. At the Royton by election there was a 7.3% swing to Labour. He can only be removed when he is a proven electoral failure.

There is an upcoming by election, and the London Mayoral Election and Labour will have to do very badly in those, though there is no reason to believe they will do.

Labour MPs don't want Corbyn. They are mainly Blairites parachuted into safe seats as rewards for their toadyism. They were elected on Miliband's ticket, which the country roundly rejected. Labour lost the election, but the MPs that scrapped through are saying "we don't want to change".

Corbyn is offering a change. At the moment, Labour supporters seem to like him.

Well that just goes to show how naive and stupid they must be if they think hes going to get into no10 as PM

I fail to see why he's unpopular, I like him, he's doing so much for Labore.
Baz,
You may well be right. We shall see what happens in the forthcoming elections. As the article says, they may just have to put up with him, if by any chance he does win things.
baswillrun your quote is (probably intentionally) misleading.
The story says that the Labour MP,s had better learn to 'Love Him' as he is not going anywhere ( as in he is going to stay a leader no matter what they think.) Their big problem is that there is no one to replace him even if they did manage to get him out.
Far from 'the end of the road', if as I expect, Labour win back a number of seats in the May local government elections, they are going to have to realize that it is them that are on 'the end of the road' as they face either backing his policies or facing being deselected in favor of more 'Corbynesque' candidates.
As said the labour MP's hate him but 100,000's of ordinary party members think he is the best thing that has happened to the party for decades.
The MP in question is the same one who claimed that the Cologne sex attacks happen every friday night in Birmingham.
