The catholic church has said Mother Teresa has had a second miracle attributed to her.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-35129463

The Vatican said "The miracle involved the healing of a Brazilian man with several brain tumours in 2008"

Mother Teresa died in 1997, nine years before that.

How can this be attributed to Mother Teresa?

Is this modern day and age I am staggered that people still believe in this sort of thing.

Surely it is no better than "witchcraft".

And it staggers me that MORE people follow the catholic church rather than less, even with the churches controversial history and modern day abuse of children by priests.

I suppose it shows how many gullible people there are in the world.

Khandro, despite that^, I'd still like to know what he said that you think is so bad - and whilst you're at it I'd also like to know why you assume that everyone needs someone else's influence to help them make their decisions.
gness, Please don't think I'm trying to re-convert you :0) I'm not one myself, but I live in a Catholic part of Germany and the church does marvelous work within the local community for the young and old alike and the vitriol against the church spewed out by Fry, is not recognisable here. I think you speak of the Catholic church Ireland, is that right?
You'd have your work cut out there, Khandro.....☺

My childhood and teen years were in Ireland and the UK......and there was no difference.
I also came across the strange ways of the Catholic church when working for a third world charity.

And I do agree with every word Mr Fry says about the church.....if there were a God I'd be asking him the same questions Stephen Fry asked when interviewed by Gay Byrne.......

The good done in the name of Catholicism can't make up for the suffering it has caused....and still is causing.
Mother Theresa was party to that suffering.....x

That'll be a 'don't know' from Khandro to me then. Oh well...
gness; What is referred to above as 'juvenile atheism', is the belief that the facade of buildings and priests constitute the entirety of the teachings of Christ. Ignore these teachings if you will, but I suggest not simply on the misdoing and misinterpretation of certain individuals claiming authority.
Still a 'don't know' then.
That would probably include a belief in God then, Khandro......and there I would struggle......I really am happier knowing he doesn't exist.......

If I found there was a God....we'd have to have words........x
