I thought this article was worth the read. Social media is an ambivalent tool but in this case would have been unthinkable a decade ago.

What does the future hold for young women and their aspirations in another decade do you think?

It's not only about women's rights, it would seem that life in Afghanistan isn't too great for the young of both sexes.

Mind you it would seem all is not bad, after all where can one in the UK get a smart phone for £6.44 and a Sim card for 64p?
It is great to see the young and old embracing the likes of Facebook and using it to share real news as well as using it for socialising.

Articles like this show how Afghan kids, especially the urban ones, are just like any other kids. You get the same gaggle of giggling teenage girls outside the school gates, boy racers wearing their baseball caps back to front and young boys having races on their bikes.
