Lucy. There you go.
In time she may be a 'people's princess'. Why not a name to reflect that, something like Chardonnay or Stacey?

He will not name her Diana, he has enough guts not to do that although he might include it in the string somewhere I guess

Charlotte Elizabeth Katherine Diana Cambridge

chardonnay may be passay when she reaches maturity herself. Perhaps something like Maalbec would be more prescient.
sandy, to be truly of the people, the baby's name has to be "*****-mae".
You've a good point there, jno, about chardonnay. But surely Stacey is timeless?
I think calling her Diana would be a mistake, but it would be ok to have it as one of the several middle names.
I wonder if the name Carol will feature?
I bet the first name will be something very traditional
I don't suppose Blue Nun would stand the test of time either.
Alice Elizabeth Diana (minty) windsor
I agree completely, Sandy. :-)

what an odd question, why is guts required? why is cowardice implied?

He will need guts to name the child after her Mum who was unpopular with many Royals. Why do you need this to be explained ?
I think it will be a traditional royal name with Diana in there somewhere.
Guts???
Tosh!
I am sure Mum and Dad will have a chat about the little girl's name and do whatever they think is appropriate and sensible, on this happy occasion.
I have never understood why the name Diana didn't become more popular for girls names here in Britain. If you consider that Princess Di was probably one of the most famous women in the last 30 years, why her name didn't appear to be more popular is a mystery.

If you think how many Elizabeths and Margarets there are, in the 50 and over age bracket in Britain, and look at Harry and William more recently, why don't we have any Diana's , let alone many of them ?
It's not a nice name (IMO), so there's no wonder why it wasn't more popular.
'The son' what odd wording - I think they should name her exactly what they like.
I am curious...why is Diana not a "nice" name Rocky ? What does that mean ?
She was popular but her name wasn't. Unfortunately for Lady Di, her name was old fashioned at the time and is even more so now, but not old fashioned enough to be trendy again.
What a horrible question - implying that Prince William is a coward, and that he wants to name her after his mother anyway.
