Coincidence possibly. Irony, not really. Are they sure they haven't just found the leaks from years of old airplanes ?
the oilfield doesn't actually extend to the south coast. I think they're starting to get the sandstorm that was hitting Dubai a week ago.
Yes the bad air quality has nothing whatsoever with buning oil. It is a result of something known as "weather"

Yes and usually when the weather conditions are more favourable no such concentrated pollution exists. Normal weather over the UK is the perfect remedy for dispersing polluted air.
