A volunteer at the Tower of London has been suspended for joking about stealing a poppy and has even received death threats!

Where has this mad obsession with war, death and dying come from? Is it all beyond a joke?

Could you point to the line which mentions 'Death threats'in that article please.
What mad obsession?
Jude....I can't see the connection between your two sentences and the only hysteria I see about the Poppies comes in your posts......♣
Take it you have not served in the armed forces, that your parents or their parents didn't serve, that you were not sufficiently educated to show respect for the so very many who died and were wounded. It's called respect, evidently something you lack.
No one bite.

Those Tower of London poppies bought a bit of work to company local to me, probably got the lads a few Saturday mornings overtime.

If I were you I'd have a look round and find a news site with far less adverts than that one Jude.
