David Cameron and others have been told to stop using the phrase 'Islamic State' and replace it with 'UnIslamic State', would this make any difference?

They haven't been 'told', they've been asked. That aside it is great to see the Muslim leaders coming out and condemning Islamic (or UNIslamic) extremists.

If you wish to be pedantic, we are both wrong, they have been 'called on'.

*** Imams call on David Cameron and others ***

*** The letter's authors also call for the prime minister ***
Called on is the same as asked which is distinct from 'told' as told is incorrect. Why sensationalise something unnecessarily?
It wouldn,t make any difference to what is happening as they claim the title. But perhaps it would reinforce the fact that their interpretation of Islam is wrong and denounced by most Muslims.
Yes Lurcher it does and is therefore a positive step.
//It is neither Islamic and it is not a state///

So, how can they be called the Unislamic state??
Could get confusing if people start calling it US.
Daffy, very good. :o)
In R&S I call some of the unbelievers, the goodly unGodly. Doesn't make a whit of difference.
Murdering Ba........ds. More appropriate.
In R&S I call some of the unbelievers, the goodly unGodly.

I took it that it was ALL non believers?
Or are some more ungodly than others? I know I am!
