No, but I spotted a stall for it when out shopping last Friday and there was a very long queue, both adults and children.
If I never tried it, I probably wouldn't miss it!
I've never even heard of it until now, you're right, it does sound disgusting. I like my tea hot, strong, no sugar and tiny bit of milk.

I'd try it.
It seems a little like Indian/Persian dessert drinks; is it Falouda?

Rose flavoured and sweet with noodley bits floating around
Been around in Manchester for quite a while, though we do have a large Chinese community and China Town. There is a stall in the Arndale Centre which sells it, been there quite a while now though that's the only place I've seen it outside of China Town, can't say I'm tempted.
I imagine it's just like eating frogspawn through a straw and I can't say that appeals to me very much ;/
I tried it at the behest of my nephew and you're absolutely right, 3Ts - it's disgusting.

I note from the article that nobody seems sure quite how the drink developed. Well I can tell you. Somebody had a container of the said balls and were taking their tea break when they accidentally knocked the balls into their tea. Nobody in their right mind would have made the concoction deliberately.
No, I think I will give it a miss.
It reminds me of frogspawn.
Tapioca is bad enough as a desert.
Nope never tried it or ever will.
Strangely enough I used to like tapioca when they served it at school, despite it being very much like frogspawn.
However, putting it in a cup of tea is just wrong. All kinds of wrong.
the only thing in a cup/mug of tea should be a dunked biscuit.
I've never seen it, but would definitely try it.
I'll give that one a miss I think.
Not for me, thank you !
