The BBC has received a record number of complaints accusing it of favouring UKiP during the elections.

// The BBC has received almost 1,200 complaints about its coverage of the European and local elections, saying it was biased towards Nigel Farage's Ukip.

The BBC has received 1,190 complaints accusing it of either having given too much coverage to Ukip, or being biased in favour of Nigel Farage's party.

It is thought to be the most complaints the BBC has ever received about its coverage of a party during an election. //

Do you think The BBC are biased in favour of UKiP?

I am doubtful myself, why would they be?

some people think "giving a lot of coverage to" = "favouring".

Joey Barton's favouring of Ukip was double-edged, to say the least.
479 of those complaints came from mikey
Now I know what the 3 other main party leaders were up to during the campaign..........

I guess a few must have come from Sourpuss Salmond as well.
I guess most complaints came from Labour supporters, ♫ they're funny that way ♫.
Let's face it, politicians are always slagging each other off on the BBC. If it was David Cameron getting the plus points there wouldn't be a peep.
Like a lot of people I wish ALL these politicians would actually get on with running the uk to everyones benefit, instead of fighting each other on pointless issues that most of Joe public really couldn't give a monkeys about.
For example, this Plebgate nonsense, which has now run and run and run....who...really...gives a toss.

UKiP were expected to win the Euro vote, so they were bound to get a lot of air time. There were also a lot of ant-UKiP stories to report.

AOG, i disagree, Consetvatives have more to lose if UKiP does well (see ladt weeks results).

To be fair though, that has morphed from minor spat to a Cabinet minister losing his job to proven Police collusion/corruption and STILL has legs.

Spannerfiend,
I do. When the Police Federation conspire to "topple the Tory Government" then that is very serious. When the Police lie and make up evidence then that undermines the public's confidence in them. Again, a serious situation.
cobblers the BBC is full of Knoo Laybore luvvies.
No I don't think so. They got the coverage their likely showing merited. A lot of the coverage was pretty embarrassing to be honest but IKIP seemed to be in an 'all publicity is good publicity' phase. Not really the BBC's fault that

I do, I am not satisfied that the whole truth has been revealed yet.

Let me put it another way then. Unchecked immigration, thieving politicians, killers being let out of open prisons, uk laws being made by people who don't live here, and above all, the billions of £££££ that we all pay into some faceless pit every year for EU interference.....these
, for me anyway, all come WAY above the fact that some plonker on a bike got his knickers in a twist because a copper wouldn't open a gate for him.

That may well be, but I think that you will find UKIP has been much more a target of the Left, than from the Tories for some reason.

Could it be because of they are in favour of stopping in the EU, whereas at least the Tories have promised a referendum, and then there is immigration and we all know Labour's feelings regarding that.

Well, because UKiP are on the right, and Labour are more left. Left parties atta ck roght ones. But right ones attack further right ones.
The BBC's coverage of the UKIP campaign was relentless. Agonising to the extreme and resulted in me avoiding the news to the point of almost failing to realise that polling day had actually arrived!
Oh I complained to the Beeb that Nick Ross' infuriated badgering of Farage was probably garnering sympathy votes.....

You could almost see the spittle from said NR going into the ubiquitous pint of beer....
