I didn't.

It is effectively the trade union for police officers and the taxpayer has been contributing £0.35million annually

I read recently that it has amassed £70 million.

Now the Home Secretary has said payments will be stoppec

Three questions:

1) Do you think the taxpayer should have been giving this money?

2) do you think the reason it has been stopped has anything to do with the behaviour of the Pilice Federation in the Andrew Mitchell case?

3) Will relations between the Government and the Police suffer as a consequence?

My answers to your three questions Gromit ::

1..No, of course...not sure why the tax payer ever did in the first place !

2...No, I am sure its just a strange coincidence that this was announced today... "A policewoman has become the fourth officer to be sacked over press leaks related to the "Plebgate" affair"

3...Relations will continue to deteriorate until the Police in general, and the Met in particular stop lying, cheating and committing perjury.

Nothing further to add, apart from the fact that we have come to a pretty pass when the Tory Party are seen to try to sort out this mess. Can I please be put on the record that I give Mrs May my 100% support in cleaning out the Augian Stables belong to our Boys In Blue.
