If I was a home-owner, I wouldn't be happy about seeing the value plummet.
When I was a child, we lived in the suburbs of a city, the next 'burb down became like a ghetto (as Tony describes) and that was also about 40 years ago.
As far as I know, they were all bought properties, but I was under 10 years old.
Now I'm wondering if I am an undesirable having read the Koran

It can never hurt to expand your education. There's all sorts of stuff I wish I had learned about, or perhaps that I wish I could be bothered to learn about.
Sorry Alba - not sure what point your trying to make
Is it that all property will be bought eventually?
Tamborine:- हर एक जीवित प्राणी के प्रति दया रखो . घृणा से विनाश होता है .

Hindi isn't so bad and not learning it is not an education ;-)
They probably were alba, but in my area a good few years ago you could buy a run down property ( in one of the areas that I mentioned ) and then get a good grant of the council to modernise it, and believe me that happened a lot.
not really making a point Ric :-)

Just throwing another thought into the mix.
Sharigan - be honest you've just cut and pasted that
Readily available on the interwebs anyway. :P

I think alba has made a very good and valid point.
I think I'll now shut up, as not qualified to comment, West of Scotland doesn't seem to have as many problems as England and Wales do.
(Maybe it does and I'm just insulated from it)
However, I enjoy reading everyone's views and opinions.
Okay totally busted Ric.ror :)
But I am actually interested in learning Hindi and it underlined my point that you can't say you move for the benefit of someone's education citing not learning something as if it were a good thing:)
It means ''Have compassion towards all living beings. Hatred leads destruction.''
I think that's true.

No, its your avatar.
alba, everyone is entitled to there own opinion.
shari - not at the expense of french, german & spanish; we are europeans 1st
No, its your avatar.

Another very valid point made by sweaty.
In theory I agree sharigan in practice - well that another story
Take svejk's attitude to the great Sir Alex ;-))
We do an awful lot of trade with India and China though Tamborine. I think I'd be happier with my children learning those languages than French to be honest, as it would be of more use to them in the real world.
The Ed wont let me out of this burka, svjek. Its my penance for showing my breasts - he must be muslim ?
The younger alba works with lots of Polish people, he enjoys their company outside of work. (been invited to weddings, birthdays and so on)
The student alba goes to college with a huge variety of nationalities, each and everyone get on well with each other.
They all seem to integrate very well with each other.
