/// The 45-year-old former lawyer added: 'We are going to take England — the Muslims are coming. Brussels is 30 per cent, 40 per cent Muslim and Amsterdam. Bradford is 17 per cent
Muslim. ///

/// The father-of-four takes home more than £25,000 a year in benefits and lives in a £320,000 house in Leytonstone, East London. ///

Not bad for someone who hates us so much.

Isn't he breaking the law by preaching this sort of thing?
You'd think there would be something that could be done about it..... the percentages might be right for localities, but the percentage overall of Muslim people in the UK is a quarter of that. There's no takeover in the offing, just bluster.
Unfortunately the price of freedom of speech is that there are some people who will say things that we find repugnant.
He's on benefits and him a lawyer? Couldn't they get him shelf stacking in Poundland as work experience?
I was about to say "does he live in a large house?" until I re-read some of the original posting! What do these people know/say that enable them to say such things and still have large amounts of "free everything"?
Freedom of speech appears, to a casual observer at least, to be reserved for particular factions within our society.
I suppose that's a price we pay for all embracing inclusivity in the modern world.
He is really causing a stir, according to some of the Mail online readers' comments below the story.

I think you may have a point. Have a look at the EDL Facebook page for proof.

So many young men and women advocating death to blacks, gays and Muslims, but not a single piece about it in any national paper.

Go figure!
What has the value of the house he lives in got to do with anything?
ummm

My guess is that the Mail are implying a link between him being on benefits and being able to afford a £320,000 house.

I only skim-read the article (you pretty much know what the details will be before even reading it), so I don't know whether it's a council house, or whether its privately rented or indeed his own place which is fully paid off.
He was doing very nicely two years ago too. £25K untaxed income - very nice eh?

It is amazing how you continuously defend such people, what is your feelings about these Muslims?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2279703/Death-threats-UKs-Muslim-MP-voted-gay-marriage.html

But then I suppose you will have a completely different axe to grind, since it fits more to your own personal agenda?

If you re-read my post, you may realize that I'm not actually defending anyone. I'm defending the concept of free speech.

You see the difference surely?

And with regards to 'axe-grinding' and 'personal agenda', could you please confirm what prompted you to raise the question in the first place? Would you concede that it fits in with your own personal agenda, and whether the loud metallic sound you can hear from AOG Towers emanates from your own axe-grinding machinery?

Avid reader of such web sites are we SP?

I have just got the offending web site up, and admit I have only read part of it, but have not come across those particular men & women that you so hastily accuse.

And to answer your question - anyone who advocates violence against groups under the guise of 'strongly held beliefs' is at best a misguided fool and at worst, a piece of evil filth.

I view EDL and BNP supporters, and Muslim fanatics as three sides of the same coin in that respect.
AOG

Not an avid reader. I've seen some posts through 'EDL Watch'.

http://www.loonwatch.com/tag/edl

Be warned - some language the EDL supporters use can be quite nasty.

That isn't the EDL facebook site that you first mentioned, but an anti EDL, anti- anyone who criticises Muslims etc etc tag site.

/// Loonwatch.com is a blogzine run by a motley group of hate-allergic bloggers to monitor and expose the web’s plethora of anti-Muslim loons, wackos, and conspiracy theorists. ///

/// While we find the sheer stupidity and outrageousness of the loons to be a source of invaluable comedy, we also recognize the seriousness of the danger they represent as dedicated hatemongers. And so, while our style reflects our bemusement, our content is fact checked and our sources well vetted making sure loonwatch.com is a reliable educational – if entertaining – resource on the rambunctious underworld of Muslim-bashing. ///

It is little wonder that you 'accidentally' came across this site.

Because we are soft. The silent majority always is.
AOG

You're going to have to retrace this thread.

First, I pointed out that this is a freedom of speech issue, and that we may have to put up with unpalatable views.

Then I pointed out that the EDL Facebook page has members who post equally outrageous statements.

You then (referring to the Facebook page), asked me whether I was an avid reader, to which I answered that I found it through EDL Watch.

You then seemed to have got confused. I never said that EDL Watch was an EDL site. It's a site where people can post stories about the EDL and some of the things supporters write.

You see where you went wrong?

Now back to my original comment - do you think this might be a freedom of speech issue? If EDL members can post on Facebook advocating death to Muslims, we inevitably have to accept that some Muslims are going to use equally abhorrent language?

not that easy I am afraid,

This is what you said in the first instance, "I think you may have a point. Have a look at the EDL Facebook page for proof".

"So many young men and women advocating death to blacks, gays and Muslims, but not a single piece about it in any national paper".

I had a look in 'EDL facebook' for proof of what you said, but could not find anything regarding death threats to those groups.

Then having challenged you to provide proof of what you said, you directed me to a different site, and not the one you were referring to.

And then later you continued to accuse EDL members of death threats to Muslims..

/// If EDL members can post on Facebook advocating death to Muslims, ///

Better have a lie down SP you are getting rather confused this Sunday Afternoon, too much wine with your lunch maybe?
