What is it with me and the wrong people dying????
We're a big family...lots of exs...still close. On Thursday my ex mother in law died. My son....never one to waste time on phone calls sent a voice text to everyone saying....... my Nan died this morning.
Voice texts are not clear are they?
I have started getting calls...one from China....saying how sad my ex husband has died so young! What happened?
For Nan they heard Dad. I am now calling my family to say.... Nan not Dad. Which doesn't help my sister in law who has already sent the sympathy card to my ex husband's "widow".
And yes....'tis the same lady I thought DNR on a text meant I was having dinner with her when it meant Do Not Resuscitate.

Like my family Sib. :-)
Just read that, gness. Think I need a paracetamol now.
I've had a walk round the block, hasn't helped but how is his other nan?
Question Author
Ibuprofen surely Tony.

His other nan is my nutty Ma in care. She's fine....the hunger strike hasn't affected her at all. Bet she's miffed. Isn't it a great pity some of us can't have ex mothers?
I'd vote for ex-mothers.

Still, a voice text is better than a text surely? :-)
I think with mothers, they try to keep in control, the number of impossible tasks I've been given. I knew it was your ma. just being delicate

Suppose so Alba........phone call would be nice but hey ho.
A phone call to one member of the family, maybe 3 or 4 and ask each of them to spread the word would avoid any confusion in sad circumstances?
Question Author
Yes...a telephone tree is what I'd do but my son thinks in a different place to the rest of us.......he's gorgeous but it takes a while to get on his wavelength...I'm almost there. :-)
Question Author
