Stabbing Death on Oxford Street.

Yet another killing on the streets of our capital this time on a crowded Oxford Street.
Even while medics are tending the stabbed gang member, other chose to attack the police, why?
The Guardian reports that /// Scotland Yard has denied deploying a Taser to control youths at the scene of the fatal stabbing of a teenager in front of shoppers on Oxford Street during the Boxing Day sales. ///
Why do Scotland Yard see the need to defend the fact that one police officer was seen to draw his Taser gun?
Even if he found it necessary to use it, he could not be criticised in such circumstances, that is what they are for, that being to immobilise such unruly an violent individuals that refuse to respect authority in such circumstances.
It is time these thugs learnt that they can't just do as they like.

You seem intent on turning my thread on the Oxford Street murder, to one on the Salford murder.
It is becoming more and more obvious that this crime suits your own particular agenda more.
This being the case, why do you not enter a thread of your own, dealing specifically with the Salford murder, that is of course if you find it much easier to condemn a white killer, than one with a black skin?

My knowledge on gang culture is very limited but with two young lads being involved I wouldn't be surprised if this was some kind of gang initiation, but that's just me speculating.
To answer AOG's initial post again, if the police didn't use a taser and were said to have, they will of course clarify, it could be as simple as that. Any gang members will try and intimidate the police in such circumastances, that's what I'd expect. I don't know the regulations behind the use of tasers, I'm sure there are some so that they're not used willy nilly and we can't be sure of the full story.

Anyways - back to the point - the OP raised this thread because he thinks blacks are not criticised enough (he has frequently posted rants that there aren't enough black villains on film and in tv shows).
When you understand that, you realise why this thread requires our contempt, rather than our contemplation.

why is it such a problem for the police to stop and search any youngster, black white or otherwise??? surely a set jail sentance of 10 years for ANY person carrying a knife, and 25 years for anyone with a gun would soon turn the british isles back to the british isles, and not a copy of bad land America. Just make it law, publicise it strongly. I got nicked for no seat belt last year, the copper was hiding behind his car, which was parked on the pavement, using a pair of binoculers to catch motorists.
