"Why is he years behind the thinking of most of us?" could the same question not be asked of you aog?
Don't understand why it is not already illegal, unless it is under less specific legislation about abuse and similar stuff.
horse and stable door come to mind i'm afraid.
nothing ever seems to materialize from these rash statements of theirs...
"Don't understand why it is not already illegal,"
probably because they were scared of upsetting the immigrant hordes who consider this a right
"probably because they were scared of upsetting the immigrant hordes who consider this a right"
What a stupidly thoughtless remark. You think that they didn't pass a law to protect the offspring of immigrants because they didn't want to upset the parents?
'' 'We must control how many people come to this country'':

NO, No NO Cameron, its YOU and your Government who should do it, NOT WE and you should also get rid of the Human Rights Law along with Clegg!!!!!!
"immigrant must pass history test to earn uk passport"

said with the confidence of someone who knows full well that the eu will say it is a breach of protocol, so that his fans and daily mail readers can froth at the mouth with his 'me hands are tied' routine.
Do they take the test before they arrive on our shores otherwise its too late?

If you are an example of present day thinking, perhaps it is not a disadvantage to belong to an age of a more respectful and intelligent way of thinking.

But having said that, I am sure you are not actually an example of present day thinking, you are just a sad one off I believe.
Oh whoopy doo! Answer a few questions and you can stay. On that criteria half the people born here would be told to get out. Cameron belongs in the highland games with a caber.....
"Is that light at the end of the tunnel,I see?"
No,AOG,it is the headlights of an Express Train rushing towards you!
Seriously though - I believe it to be another cynical ploy by Cameron
to distract attention from political bad news elsewhere, namely - Dr Fox
and his friend.Any mention of curbing immigration would soothe the
fevered brows of Daily Mail readers and say "Adam Werritty, who he"?

Nice try Cameron, but it won"t wash with sane, rational folk!!

I am sure a curb on immigration would sooth the brows of much more people than just Daily Mail readers.
How many native born people in the Uk have a comprehensive knowledge of our history?
not if they thought they had to sit a history test as well.

/// How many native born people in the Uk have a comprehensive knowledge of our history? ///

I do, at least I did before it was re-wrote by the PC brigade.
so you would fail it then ?
I've just done that history test, I better start packing my bags! I did say on Friday I was useless at history.
I do think it's a little unfair to set that as the exam to pass as 'preparation for life in the UK' but we've heard all this before, I doubt it will actually happen.
With regard to making forced marriages illegal, how could that be judged? How would we know when it's forced or not?
This is WHY forced marriages should not be allowed pa___ul3

From the Daily Mail

"Some schoolchildren believe Winston Churchill is an animated dog from a TV ad rather than one of Britain's greatest wartime leaders.
Other pupils even struggle to differentiate between France and Paris thanks to falling classroom standards and a shift towards creative learning, according to outspoken former deputy headteacher Katherine Birbalsingh.
She says teaching basic knowledge, facts and figures is disappearing from classrooms as it is considered 'old fashioned'.

How can political correctness be blamed for schoolchidren not knowing who Churchill was or the difference between France and Paris?

not
