As bad as it is...he didn't actually kill baby Peter. His brother did.

Is that you, G?
" G " ?
It is RUMOURED that he MAY get a new identity and plastic surgery.
should get nothing, except perhaps more jail time, another lowlife back into society
I think he should be allowed to make a new life for himself.

On Mars.

So what if he didn't actually kill little Baby Peter. He knew what was going on and contributed to all the torture. He's a monster and doesn't deserve to ever be free. Poor little baby, what chance did he have, and now this slimeball thinks only of himself and has no remorse whatsoever.
He's done his time for his crime. Now if he needs help to settle back into the community he should get it.
If I had my way he would rot in jail.

The fact is, he was guilty of turning a blind eye. Not torture and murder like his brother.
People like him should be exterminated along with all other forms of vermin.
I agree he has done his time, but what annoys me most about these criminals wanting a new life, is that WE have to pay for it. If they want plastic surgery to change their appearance, then they should pay for it. We have already paid enough for them staying in prison, and we still pay after they leave.
If their photographs weren't plastered all over the newspapers when they are convicted there would be no need for expensive plastic surgery. I blame the Daily Mail.
So many times we read about these beasts - and there is always another one not far behind.
Because there is a section of society who would take it upon themselves to dispense what they perceive as appropiate punishment to wrongdoers, it is entirely appropriate that that same society funds the protection of an individual who has received punishment under the law, and is now free to rejoin society.
Often we hear of the judicial system increasing the maximum punishment for crimes. Surely increasing the minimum term would be more appropriate.
Gosh Andy, humane sentiments but surely it depends on the crime? Does 4 years punishment wipe out what he did? Such crimes can never be forgiven or paid for IMO and when you think the great train robbers got 30 years...
As unpleasant as this man seems....he'd been living in the house for 6 weeks leading up to baby Peter's death. The abuse and torture had been going on for much longer than that.
so its the DM fault is it that a child was tortured, then effectively murdered, don't be daft, three people were responsible, then throw in all those idiots who were supposed to have a hand in the poor boys safety, social services, police, and doctors alike. If this bloke is allowed to have plastic surgery then this countries judicial system really has gone to the dogs.
