// Last year some 242,000 more people moved to the UK than left, after numbers leapt by around 45 per cent in just a year. //

Here is what they promised in their General Election manifesto...

// Immigration today is too high and needs to be reduced. So we will take steps to take net migration back to the levels of the 1990s – tens of thousands a year, not hundreds of thousands. //

Do you Tory voters feel conned?

perhaps, but you must be delighted Gromit!
maybe they meant tens of thousands a month, they aint to fussed with their maths.
Gromit never fails to amaze me in his attempts to cry down the Tories.

He is quick to jump on the immigration band wagon, when he sees a chance to have a dig at the Tories.

But when his own bunch of irresponsible politicians (the Labour Party) spent 13 years letting in enormous amounts of Immigrants/asylum seekers/and illegal immigrants into this country, did he moan then?

Of course not, he welcomed them all with open arms, saying that they can only enrich our society.
"Gromit never fails to amaze me"

i should think his mum would be proud.
An incumbent Government has not adhered to all it's manifesto ?

Hold the front page !!!

Drop the dead donkey !!!

Etc ...
Sorry about the "it's" !
I think Gromt is getting all nostalgic for the good old days of Noo Labour and His Tonyness! They never broke any promises and always adhered to their manifesto, didn't they?

You've all taken the shoot the messenger approach, instead of defending your party.

A 45% rise in immigration, highest for 6 years is not a very impressive start though is it?
Whose party ??

Brighton Pavillion's MP is Green Party.
Did you vote for Caroline, JJ?
The Tories lambasted Labour and now are doing much the same.
I didn't vote for Cazza Lu, but I'm really pleased that she got elected.

Actually, it would never have occurred to me to vote Green.
When Labour was in power they let in a better class of immigrant a good example would be this new Dentist the tories have let in who pulls teeth out with rusty old pliers.
I am puzzled about your concerns, over a period of time look what our wonderful elected MPs have done for us,it used to cost us a lot of money to go abroad to see such places as India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Romania,Poland & many other places of interest, I live near Birmingham & now within a 5 mile radius I can visit these wonderful places for next to nothing where else could I live & do that all in the same day ? Ron.
good grief isn't anybody going to take up my challenging ( tongue in cheek) remarks.Ron.
