Different budgets, different allocations .....
I agree with boxy............building a hospital is the cheap bit............staffing and maintaining it costs the money.
According to wikidodah

each Tomahawk cruise missile costs $3.7 million.

Still at least we are supporting defense manufacturing jobs in ...... oh america.
.
I've finally worked out how this Libyan thing works. We stop Gadaffi killing innocent people in Benghazi by bombing his missile sites, tanks and artillery. This will allow the rebels to attack Gadaffi supporters and kill innocent people in Tripoli. Simple really.
Each Tomahawk cruise missile costs $3.7 million.

B1oody hell, that's expensive Zeuhl!
but Tesco are doing buy one get one free
I know trt

each one we fire would wipe out nearly half a banker's bonus.
.
Last time I checked Tomahawks cost about £500k each.
Not according to Wikipedia's estimate for 2011 prices.

And Wikipedia's never wrong.
.
Sorry, forgot this

<<Unit cost Approximately $869,000 (FY99 $) [1]

Approximately $3,756,000 in 2011 dollars.>>
That would be much more reasonable McMouse. :(
I am confused as well along with the majority of the British public !
Let the Arab States sort out their own problems as we have had enough of sending our young men to die in foreign conflicts
at least our government gets to scrap the tornado fleet on the cheap, by letting the americans blow them up...
McMouse is right about 500K each. Its a lot cheaper and safer than sending jets with pilots.
Think it would be a dam sight cheaper if:
A - The Arab league get more involed. (Egypt has far more planes than the UK and closer)
B - How about we leave it to others?
Years back when they were being fired at saddam they said they cost £248,000 each.
That's inflation for ya
This isn't any legitamate business of the UK - Gadaffi is already gaining popularity after the bombing raid killed civilians (as they always do) - Italy as the old Imperial power was smart to not get involved.
Since most of the people I know are against sending any more of our young men to get killed or maimed, why are we still doing it? The British public have absolutely no power whatsoever. The Government does exactly what it likes. But then, we voted them in so I suppose we just have to put up with it.
"where is Cameron getting the money to fund it from? "

Well, he started off robbing the poor to pay the rich, but apparently the rich are now rich enough, so he had to find something else to do with the money.
Well the Red Indians were well ahead of there time.what would a good bow and arrow be worth now £6 million ?
