I've just read that rumours are circulating among Labour ranks that Keir Starmer's performance to date leaves much to be desired.  Word is that he will shortly be replaced by Angela Rayner.  A sure way to kick this lousy government into touch.  What's that I hear?  Bring it on?

Angela Rayner !!!! an uneducated moron.

over Wes Streeting's dead body I think!

TBH I'd rather have Tool than pound shop barbie. I doubt she'd win the leadership anyway. She's the token lefty, much like thumper in Noo Layba.

He has a huge majority I can't see the party booting him out.

Wishful thinking by the Right. Can you seriously imagine Farage or Badenoch running the country? Or even worse Davey in a desperate coalition.

Get Tony Blair back into Downing St .He did great job when he lived there ..Go for it Tony.

Yes TGL's protegee gully, wonderful!

It's the proverbial re-arranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic: it doesn't matter whom they chose, they will be lucky to make it to the next general election.

If it wasn't for that cursed fixed term in office (brought about to appease that awful Nick Clegg brat) there would be howls now for a lack of confidence vote & an immediate G.E.

.....repealed in 2022, wasn't it?

09:15 that's gone me old. The only way the PM will go is if his own party choose to dump him and they wont because he hands out the sweeties and the beatings. Even if they do there will not be a GE.

As utterly appalling as this bad joke of a Govt is, they ain't going anywhere given the size of their majority, albeit the majority is flattering given their share of the vote (Andrew Neil referred to it as "As wide as an ocean but as shallow as a village pond."). So we've got four more years of them continuing to demonstrate they are not fit to govern.

The only silver lining is that without question they are going to be a single-term Govt.

Does anybody dare to imagine if the thick as pigsiht Raynor were to become PM? We'd be an absolute laughing stock on the world stage.

"Does anybody dare to imagine if the thick as pigsiht Raynor were to become PM? We'd be an absolute laughing stock on the world stage." - we already are, have you seen the hostile invasion that we are allowing?

For all Reform's present issues that need correcting, Farage running the country is clearly the UK's best option at present (provided he drops this PR nightmare threat). Badenoch is likely to be too weak for the PM job, as she demonstrated by supporting the previous Tory government's lack of action. Braverman might be a good choice though.

As for Labour, they have no clear individual capable of turning the party's reputation around, let alone looking as potential PM material. One sees what one gets with the present lot. Starmer, Rayner, whoever; none seem capable of tackling any major issue. For most, pleasing their minority constituents seem to be the priority, and their minorities tend to favour detrimental non-UK issues; non-western culture ones in many cases. I'm not saying all individuals in the minority groups feel that way, but enough do to be wary of the whole.  (Is government still considering introducing blasphemy laws here ?  If so how many pikes does the Tower still have available ?)

mea culpa 09:15: I somehow missed the repeal of the fixed term act;

Very sensible, so let there be a GE in short order & get this failed lot out.

Bring TGM Tony Blair back ...greatest PM ever.

Where have you seen these rumours?

The situation is dire indeed.  Even gulliver is unhappy with the current mob.

Corby, I was reading a piece by Virginia Blackburn, a columnist on the Daily Express.

God forbid Angela Rayner, she is a dreadful woman. Wes Streeting appears to be getting on with the job, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a leader in waiting

Bring back Boris!
