Biden promises to 'replenish' Israel's Iron Dome defence system. Well that's a good start to a so-called peace process. Let's re-arm one side. That'll stop Hamas's rockets. Unbelievable.

Dolt.
Yes, he should rearm both sides and enable them to keep on bashing each other.
America has been giving Israel over $3 billion every year for many years, so this move from Biden is nothing new
It’s a tough choice for him.
Does he look after a modern democratic society in the middle east and a country that appreciates his protection or wrestle with the mad mullahs of surrounding countries who treat women as second class citizens, harbour terrorists, have a distrust for the west and hatred of all things American?
What’s a guy to do?

Sticky: Re-arming one side can't be the best route to peace.
So is your solution is to arm or defend the terrorists?
Iron dome is a defensive weapon, useless offensively.
I think it's an excellent idea... I'd much rather they beef up Israel's defences against missiles than support these pointless counterstrikes that achieve nothing...
Si vis pacem, para bellum

"If you want peace, prepare for war".
Except for the fact that Iron Dome is a defensive system, as you say. So it doesn't attack; it only defends against incoming Hamas rockets.
Has as been said, Iron Dome is a defensive system, which Israel and the USA co-developed. Biden has also promised, in conjunction with others, Washington would work to provide "rapid humanitarian and aid reconstruction" efforts in Gaza, where some 450 buildings have been destroyed or severely damaged by Israeli strikes, including a number of hospitals and health clinics. Perhaps these concessions were instrumental in the ceasefire being brokered by Egypt?
Since the occupation of the West Bank in 1967, numerous United Nations resolutions, including 446, 452, 465, 471 and 476 affirm unambiguously that Israel's occupation is illegal, and, since Resolution 446 adopted on 22 March 1979, have confirmed that its settlements there have no legal validity and pose a serious ...
So is the UN a nothing body with no real authority?
Iron dome is defensive.

emmie: "its almost always the innocents who get killed, children play no part, so why target them." - no one targets them, Hamas have a tendency to have their rocket launcher sites in schools and hospitals. They sacrifice their own children so they can point at Israel and say they are child killers and many eejits in the west believe them.
Not quite Tora... their goal is to ensure that they gain new footsoldiers and boots on the ground - mostly people related or close to those killed by the Israeli counterstrikes... people who for obvious reasons don't particularly care about the fact that Hamas was hiding there, having been blinded by grief/anger/propaganda and yes discrimination... in five or six years those people will be ready to shoot the next wave of rockets, and the cycle will start again.

Hamas want Israel to bomb Gaza because it directly benefits them ... meanwhile the leaders live in luxury Turkish properties and indulge themselves on all the cash they receive from Iran (cash which comes with the condition that they just keep the war going...)
