1. Choose one character from The Call of the Wild and explain how the author created him or her. Share at least 3 elements of characterization and give examples of each for your chosen character. Your response should address each part of the question. Use details from the book to support each description

It seems straightforward to me- apart from the bit about HOW the author created him- i'm not sure what the question is looking for here. But if you break the rest down and cover each part you should receive a good mark
Basically, you are being asked to analyse one of the characters in the novel. Find three different aspects of the character's 'personality' and back up what you are saying by quoting from the book .
I think the 'how' bit relates to the character development in the story.
I'd choose Spitz. He is a complex character.
it does say created rather than developed. I must admit I'd be scratching my head too. Could it be to do with the part he plays in the narrative?
