The New Government axed the annual flu vaccine campaign when it came in

Andrew Landsley said "There is no additional merit in a vaccination advertising campaign for the general population when there is already a targeted approach for those who need to be called."

Vaccine take up was down this year 2% in over 65 at risk groups and a whopping 5% in younger at risk groups.

Now with a rise in cases of both swine flu and normal flu and deaths from swine flu especially in the younger bracket is it time for the Government to swallow its pride and admit that campaigns are worthwhile?
