I heard this morning on the BBC that there had been a frank exchange between the Chief Gonk and his chancellor about some letter to The Times.

It now seems to be so well hidden as to be invisible.

Can anyone help please?

I'd have put this in News but it seems there isn't any.

Ah, merci.

I only looked on the BBC website as I heard it on one of their radio stations this morning.

Odd there's no follow-up there though.
the BBC are badly short of staff at the moment, thanks mainly to the pingdemic; their local radio stations were already being downgraded. So a lot of things you should hear, you won't.
Is this to do with Boris thinking of demoting Sunak and promoting Gove?
I have a feeling that Boris demoting Sunak could result in Sunak becomming PM.
17.55,I had exactly the same thought Bhg, If Boris isn't careful .Rishi won't have in his Team.
I have not seen any rumours regarding Boris's demoting Sunak. It would be extremely foolish to do so as at the moment Sunak is one of the few cabinet members to carry any street cred and goodwill. As said, the outcome of such a move may well not be a demotion but a promotion.

The quote went along the lined of the PM 'going Tonto', Jackdaw.

It struck me as apt for the loan arranger.

In The Times. Bojo told the "meeting" that if his Indian brave did not smoke the pipe of peace then he would think about shuffling him off to run the Health Service(oxymoron alert), who find themselves in need of a new chief. Onto Toronto Pronto Tonto.
quite so, bhg. Sunak's done little wrong in the past 18 months. Boris has done little right, but I think he knows potential suicide when he sees it.

If he knew potential suicide when he saw it he'd have been less likely to end up in hospital a while back.

He may have an educated brain but he's not really that bright.
political suicide, I meant.
Nothing to contribute other than I'm liking the term, Chief Gonk and I used to have a gonk, stood about 18" high but had bright orange hair.
Apparently Rishi wrote to Bojo last week disagreeing with his handling of overseas travel rules. Bojo objected, saying that he should not have written th e letter because he "knew it would be leaked."
Then Boris should hunt down the sorce of these leaks. He can't hang this one on Cummings.
Boris knows if he demotes or gets rid of Sunak .then that will be the end of Boris as PM. ........If only!
