Do you think they will be forgiven by the public, is there any way back, as the family are coming together for Prince Phillip’s funeral? And will William forgive Harry do you think?

Yes, I think William will forgive Harry because he's a lovely man. I personally have no time for Andrew and I see no reason to change that because he has lost his Father, although I do have sympathy because I have been there.
how is this news?

Bednobs, where do you propose I post this? Do we have a Royal Family category?
I would suggest there are two separate situations here for each prince.

Andrew has a long history of being an arrogant buffoon and his shady behaviour and inability to think on his feet (some would say inability to think full stop!) have put him out of his role, and the public eye.

Harry's situation I regard as being more an issue of naivety and and an unwillingness to accept that trying to convince people he is a nice guy through the media is simply never going to be an opition, and he should take advice and stop trying.

Hopefully the brothers will have a chance to talk, and maybe get some communication going in private, which is the best place to sort things out.

Andrew I think will remain where he is - a pompous playboy without the wit to either choose his friends carefully, or admit that they were utter poison when asked about it on national television.
I think Andrew will stay in the background (skeleton in the cupboard) and Harry will make his play as a non-royal (but royal) celeb.

William will have enough on his plate without worrying too much about the black sheep!
Thank god we don have a royal family category (although i could see a certain appeal in avoiding it!)
Family? Chatterbank?
Current Affairs is good for these types of speculative threads.

It's the family who will decide on this and I don't know them.
Wont be changing my mind about either of them , Andrew spoke from the heart about his father yesterday same as Edward and his wife did but I don’t think either of them have a place in the RF ( Harry and Andrew) one cut his cloth and the other brought disgrace to his family and is also a coward
"It's the family who will decide on this and I don't know them."

I'd be surprised if anyone on here knows them well enough to voice an opinion, yet so many seem to feel that they do somehow...
I hope that the Prince’s William and Harry can patch up their differences at this period of shared grief.I think it a shame that Harry following on from his Military career has decided to seek his fortune in the U.S. presumably guided by his wife.I fully get that what happened to his Mother would have a profound effect on him and he would want to protect his family from it but I wonder if then going to the U.S. with their obsession with celebrity was a wise choice.
JimF, no one knows them but we can see tv and read newspapers!
Jim - // I'd be surprised if anyone on here knows them well enough to voice an opinion, yet so many seem to feel that they do somehow... //

That's just human nature.

The desire to exchange ideas and thoughts about people and things we may not actually know much, if anything about is as human as breathing, and our culture reflects this in dozens of ways - speculation about famous people being just one of them.
It’s going to be tricky with Harry as I think they will all be watching what they say in case it gets back to that awful woman. Also, of course, I would think that William would not be too happy over what has been said about his wife, who makes 10 of that other one. Andrew is not even worth commenting on.
interesting piece by William and Harry talking of their late grand father - both so very different.

Read then on Mail Online, prefer William's.
one formal and the other not quite so, both heartfelt i thought.
I think everyone has been brainwashed by the tabloids. Who knows what the real situation is? "Brothers meet up at father's funeral" isn't going to sell many papers is it?
I would guess both Harry and William had very different relationships with Phillip. As future King, William may have had a more instructive relationship, whereas Harry's may have been a lot less formal. Hence the remark about banter. I thought both lads summed up their grandfather quite well.
"I would guess both Harry and William had very different relationships with Phillip"

You cannot possibly know whether that is true or not. Lankeela is correct - brainwashed by the mass media.

These subsidiary sections are dying a death and because they are rarely checked, they are rarely used.
I have pointed this out to the Ed in a recent post, but as yet have had no reply.
