Not seen a link, but the procurement of massive contracts to friends, family and business interests of the party and MPs isa huge scandal.
Vast amounts of money are awarded with no competitive tendering. Often the companies winning the contract have absolutely no relevant experience in the field of work they have won.
The biggest scandal is test and trace. There were literally hundreds of labs up and down the country with facilities, experienced personnel, and record of service. They were in Universities and colleges, and there were streams of knowledgeable casual workers (students) who wanted the experience. The work was given to firms like Serco with no experience, no facilities, and who just employed anyone off the street on minimum wage.
So our ‘World Beating Test and Trace’ not only arrive 5 months too late, but was a laughing stock on arrival.

At the weekend, in a zoom call with American investors, she naively spilled the beans on all the vaccines the UK were going to buy. Investors promptly invested in those companies and will make vast profits.
