Boris has now given councils responsibility for locking down where they think an outbreak is emerging, and employers have been told that they can ( when they see fit) to invite their workers back to work, if safe to do so. Well that's a clever move Boris, because if there is another wave, bigger than the first one, you can accuse both councils, and employers that they haven't managed the situation well, LIKE YOU ACCUSED THE CARE HOMES!!

Those closest to what's happening in their area are the best placed to act quickly.

Whats the problem in emphasizing the main point in caps?
It's considered shouting.
//Please refrain from adding emphasis in CAPITAL LETTERS as this indicates shouting and is considered rude.//

Simply say - 'My main point is' then add your text as normal.
I believe Boris said "some" of the care homes didnt act correctly so, in my opinion, knowing how some of these places are run I have little doubt that some didnt perform correctly.

By you my be , I see it has emphasizing a main point, I am not arguing with anyone, that would make it different.
You have now made your main point clear, you don't wish to discuss whether Councils and Employers are best placed in the first instance to make decisions - you actually want to discuss potential blame.

Is this get on to teacake44 day, see if we can't get him banned? or you don't like the post on Boris?
I have commented on your OP above - I see it as a good first move and will potentially prevent delays in stemming a new outbreak in an area or workplace.
I'm not sure why you're moaning, you think every decision he and his clan made was wrong so maybe council and employers will make better choices that would please you.
It's interesting that teacake thinks that every decision Boris makes is wrong, including the decision to allow other people to make decisions in future.

16.19 Did Boris act correctly, when he knew for three months the virus was on its way, had he acted correctly the care homes wouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. So before he accuses them , he needed to get his own house in order. But now he seems to be washing his hands of any more responsibility
Things like this aren't really predictable.
Aren't we discussing this news and not going back months?

As I and others have said it must surely make sense that Councils and Employers can make a speedy decision rather than wait until the have consulted Central Government.
^ they have

16.24 I don't see it like that, I see it more like Boris hasn't got a clue what next to do, so toss the ball to the other side of the court, and hope Santa delivers.
Not unexpected a view from you, we shall have to differ.
Perhaps Boris should inspect every workplace personally and Matt Hancock should visit every area where there is a spike and instruct the health professionals and councils what to do, rather than rely on those with local knowledge. Is that your suggestion, Teacake?

16.38, I've made it clear why I think Boris has done this, not for any other reason has he done it. That's because there is no such thing as a safe place to work with this virus.
