Ridiculous thuggery. He could have killed him. That response would only have been justifiable if the youth had been running around stabbing random people.

I can't put the video in here because the police are shouting swear words and one chap called the police officer the C word.
Question Author
Man walking down the street, a police officer runs full pelt and batons him in the back of the head, causing a gash a couple of inches not to mention a serious amount of blood.

I'm calling for the police officers head on a stick.

I take it that you were there and say the incident in context? It is easy to edit a short clip to make it show what you want it to.

What stance to take bloody hell wolf.
'A cop was also taken to hospital with injuries to his stomach and head'

Possibly the catalyst?
Question Author
This didn't just happen wolf, it happened a good 5-6 days ago now.

I'm not jumping to conclusions, i've seen the photos from the boys mums facebook page of him in hospital. I've heard why he was struck.

If you think this is deserving or justified then you're an awful human being.

The boy is 16!
'I've heard why he was struck.'

Do you mean you've heard his mum's side of the story?

"A cop was also taken to hospital with injuries to his stomach and head"

Where have you read this?

If it is true, probably the result of the public after witnessing the attack. You see how many strangers get involved saying it's not on? Yeah they were there!
Question Author
People went for the officer, other officers had to get them away from him. Thank god his badge number was clearly displayed in the video. I suspect he'll lose his job.

swearing beeped out
Question Author
Thank you Nailit!

How to police a football match, provided by Nailit.
Police thugs.
It seems a strange thing to do, taking any side when there's no clear evidence.
Question Author
16 year olds being savagely attacked in the back of the head via police officers!

One hit punch? This kid could have died! The police officer needs hanging by the gentlemen area.
Question Author
"It seems a strange thing to do, taking any side when there's no clear evidence."

The only side i'm taking is the boys! Who deserves that on the head?

If you think police should be allowed to do that then I'm honestly scared.

Maybe if they did it that to your child, you would be having a different perspective Zacs.
I'll leave you to your tabloid justice.
Question Author
Also Zacs, some evidence is very clear. As I said, this didn't happen today, it happened a good couple of days ago. Long enough for people to get a clear idea of who is in the wrong.

What action must the 16 year old have taken to deserv the gash in the back of the head?

If you could let me know what the minimal the boy could have done to deserve the pounding to the back of the head then i'd love to know.

Was the officer in danger? No. Was anyone? No. Was the officer alone? No. He had no reason to smack the boy in the head. The boy was not a danger to the officer or anyone.

Get some perspective. It's evident the action was an abuse of power.
Question Author
OK Zacs I'll leave you to your justification of assault of 16 year olds in the back of the head when they're not a direct threat.
