does anyone remember the name of the LP that had this song on - sung by jon pertwee i think. There was also my grandfathers clock, as well as many other children's songs.

Or is there a musical equivalent of bookprice24, that may be able to find out for me?

Hello Childern,,everywhere
I think "The Runaway Train" was a hit for Michael Holliday in the 50s.
Oh No! I'll be singing it all evening now.
Talking of 50s songs, can anyone remember one which started, "Close the door, they're coming through the window! Close the door, they're coming up the stairs..!"

There was also another comic song of which few details remain in my memory. All I can recall is that it was a story about a strange box found washed up on the shore. The few lyrics which come to mind are, "Get out, get out (accompanied by very loud drumbeats) and don't come back no more!"
