I have 50 Maxell -XL1180 80 minute Recordable discs, these were purchased in a reputable record store ,
The problem is they will not record ,I have been using the programme for a long time ,having previously used my last few spare CD's.
I have posted this query before ,I thought I would try once more,
Thank you friends.

They may simply be a duff batch.

Return them to the shop and ask for a relascement box, and try again.

If the same thing occurs, try uninstalling and re-installing your copying programme - they sometimes glitch themselves without advising you, and that can fix thing.
Can you try the discs in another machine. If they are still duff then take them back. If not then reinstall software as suggested.
Does anyone know if there is a typical percentage failure rate for blank discs. I once had about 9 or 10 fail from a stack of 50.
recordable discs can rendered useless by exposing them to sunlight
