Have you heard the BT radio advert where they ask for seven number 1 hits where the title is not sung in the song?

They give:

Bohemian Rhapsody
Space Oddity
The Ketchup Song
and another that I have forgotten.

Can you suggest any more?

Space Oddity, Telstar (any instrumentals really), Ballad of John and Yoko, Unchained Melody. Actually, I can't be bothered checking if they got to #1
oh, you said Space Oddity, sorry.

Unchained Melody!

That was the last one they gave in the ad.
it's because it came from a film called Unchained.

Aaaaah! I never knew that.

I think we can exclude instrumentals, as they are not songs.
killer-adamski.
double barrel-dave and ansel collins.
annies song-john denver.
There was a song in Japanese called Sukiyaki, back in the 60s (by Kyu Sakamoto, who died when a jumbo crashed on Mt Fuji). It had nothing whatever to do with sukiyaki, but the company that released it in the USA and UK named it that because they thought it was the only Japanese word people would recognise.
Question Author
Was it a No.1?
The one no-one ever mentions is The Importance of Being Idle by Oasis. Maybe I've got that one wrong but i don't remember it being in the lyric. It was certainly a number one. And Bohemian Rhapsody was number one twice
No 1 in the US, only 6 in the UK

hot love-t rex.
apologise for hot love,it was mentioned at the end of the song.
Albatross - Fleetwood Mac
You can't count instrumentals! How about The Chicken Song - Spitting Image?
The Ballad of John and Yoko
How do you do it? - Gerry & the Pacemakers. They get close, but don't sing the full title at any time.
The Ballad of Bonnie & Clyde - Georgie Fame.
The Legend of Xanadu - Dave Dee, etc
In The Year 2525 (Exordium et Terminus) - Zager & Evans.
The Millennium Prayer By Cliff Richard
There are a few "The...Song" and "Theme From..." ones: Michael Jackson - Earth Song, Theme From M*A*S*H - M*A*S*H (Suicide Is Painless was only the sub-title), Nizlopi - The JCB Song.

Also, what about:
Tori Amos - Professional Widow
Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)
Enigma - Sadeness Part 1
All Saints - Pure Shores
Stereophonics - Dakota.
